Hi, I'm Mark Flower and I live in Surrey
I am raising money for a challenge that is much harder than my last two. This challenge is trecking up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. The reason for this challenge being so tough is the high altitude and thinning of air quality. This can make people feel dizzy, nauseous and generally ill.
The challenge starts on flat ground climbing to 6000m, starting with hot, dense, humid rainforest through to various fauna and foliage, to rockier terrain to the top where we will experience very cold temperatures. The terrain near the top changes and becomes more like a desert which is difficult to walk in. This will prove challenging for me which I am really looking forward to.
The charity that I am fundraising for is NDCS, the National Deaf Childrens' Society. The charity is focused on supporting deaf children in forming good bonds with deaf and hearing children. They also support many projects for families with deaf children to build good, strong family relationships and put them in contact with other families who have deaf children.
You can donate to my charity online at www.justgiving.com/mfmountkilimanjaro. If you donate - small or large - it is greatly appreciated by the charity.
Thankyou for watching this clip and I will be updating you regularly via this blog. Bye!
